COVID Policy

North East Family Practice is committed to providing high quality and safe health care for all our patients and a safe work place for all our Doctors and Staff.

We would like to continuously provide non- covid related health care even during the time of high COVID 19 community transmission so please understand some precautionary measures we have in place in line with SA Health’s risk assessment.
  1. Mask usage is a condition of entry. If you have an exemption, we will give you a telehealth appointment instead and the Doctor will assess if you will be needing an in person consult.
  2. Limit the number of non essential visitor at the Practice, if you need a support person this will be limited to one.  If the child is the patient,  only one parent please and no siblings (if possible)
  3. Triage will be done based on your clinical need.
  4. Hand sanitizer is available
  5. Social/physical distancing in our waiting room otherwise if this is not possible, we will ask patients to wait outside or in their cars
  6. All our Doctors and staff are vaccinated for COVID-19
  7. Utilization of any technology such as telehealth, ePrescribing if there is a need especially if you have respiratory symptoms, in isolation or a close contact
  8. Use our QR Code check in
  9. If possible, please attend your appointment alone to limit the number of people inside the Practice.
We ask for your understanding and please be patient with our staff. They are constantly adapting and navigating the complex changes brought about by COVID 19. You will still be asked a lot of questions when you come in and this is for us to assess the transmission risk, triage and make sure we can arrange more measures to protect you and everyone who attends our Practice.

THANK YOU!
